ONE: I am writing this way later than I wanted to because yesterday, on our way home from Hailey’s dance class around 5:30, I was not able to get down my street. We live on a dead end road and a tree fell and knocked down power lines so no one could get off the street and no one could get on.
I ended up taking the girls to dinner, which was a nightmare because Aurora was not listening, spilling her water on the table (on purpose), sticking her whole hand in ranch and going under the booth yelling (#reallife seems appropriate!). We checked to see if it was fixed after dinner…nope! So we went to the grocery store and walked around and road this little dinosaur ride a couple times to keep the girls entertained. Now it’s 7:00, which is really close to bedtime, and we check back again- nope! Still can’t go home!
Luckily our friends had family in town and were just hanging out, so we were able to go over there. I wish I would have thought of this before we were two hours in! We had a great time, and didn’t end up home until almost 11:00. Is it nap time yet?!
Borrowed sweatshirts by the fire
TWO: Hailey graduated from preschool this week! It’s crazy that she is almost a kindergartener! They asked all the kids what they wanted to be when they grew up and Hailey said a marathon runner. That made me smile!
I’ve been comparing pictures all week and I made her reenact her first ever day of preschool picture from when she was one.
THREE: My women’s life group ended this week with a brunch. It was so nice to catch up and talk with all these ladies over lots of yummy food. I sure will miss this over the summer!
FOUR: I got some new running shoes that I absolutely love. I am usually a Brooks running shoes type of girl, but I went for Mizuno Women’s Wave Inspire running shoes this time and they did not disappoint.
FIVE: I am looking forward to some Memorial Day parties this weekend and some family time. The girls have some festive outfits to wear and we are hoping the rain stays away so we can spend a lot of time in the pool!
I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!
